greeting everyone
working on my web pages and blog design. I have decided to document the Ducal scroll from conception to completed design on my blog. This is my very first scroll on vellum. I am extremely nervous. I know I can do it. After all,I am dedicated and never ever give up.
I have been designing each element of the scroll separately so that I can practice painting them and applying the gilding on perg. posting pictures soon.
This is going slower then i would like because I have never created a blog or web page ever. I am taking lots of webinars so please bear with me.
Today I practice with gold leaf … it has been interesting and scary at the same time .. lol
Received vellum today in mail . Researching how to cut it . Will post pictures later today … gotta get my butt moving on this project due Dec 10th
Oct 28 2022 trying to flatten vellum a little before I cut it . Cleaned cutting mat with water and let it dry before I unrolled vellum . Took dry cloth and placed over vellum so I could use books weights and left over night . Going to set up studio to video results . Fingers crossed
